DESCCRIPTION
Epiphyte
with clustered, erect, to patent, sparsely branching rhizomes up to
25 cm long over which the roots grow towards its base. Rhizom
1-2 mm diam., sections between pseudobulbs 0.4-2 cm long, bracat
fibres rather persistent. Pseudobulbs
ovoid, ellipsoid or globose, 0.2-1.3 x 0.2-0.5 cm, not angular,
finley grooved. Leaf: petiole 0.05-0.1 cm long; blade ovate to
elliptic, 0.6-3.5 x 0.2-0.6 cm l/w 1.9-7; acuminate. Inflorescence
porrect, 0.3-0.5 cm long, 1-flowered. Peduncle 0.1-0.2 cm, bract 1.
Floral bracts 1.1-2.8 mm long, acuminate. Flowers:
pedicel and ovary 0.7-1.5 mm long. Median sepal recurved, ovate,
1.4-2.5 x 0.8-1.3 mm, l/w .1.5-3.1; obtuse to acuminate, glabrous.
Lateral sepals as the median but not oblique, 1.5-2.4 x 0.6-1 mm l/w
2-3. Petals porrect, ovate to elliptic, 0.5-1 x 0.3-0.7 mm, l/w
1.2-2.3; (sub-)acute, margins glabrous to slightly erose, surface
glabrous. Lip approx. Straight, ovate to subhastate, 0.5-0.9 x
0.3-0.6 mm l/w 1.2-2; rounded to acute, surface glabrous to slightly
papillose; adaxially with a deep basal cavity, basal teeth forming a
transverse ridge with a notch halfway, beyond these surface slightly
concave; abaxially convex. Column 0.3-0.5 mm long, foot very short,
with a large, incurved median knob just above the ligment. Stelidia
approx. Absent or inconspicuous, deltoid, obtuse rostellum distinctly
protruding. Colours:
Sepals and petals translucent white, pale yellow or pale green. Lip
white yellow, pale green or orange.
